mission & vision
Our mission is to provide core early intervention through outreach and support services. Our goal is achieved by educating and equipping the youth with the essential tools to be successful.
The vision to empower our youth was birthed from my own personal experiences and witnessing the challenges of others. I was born and raised in Louisiana and currently reside in Texas. At a very early age, I was diagnosed with Leukemia and underwent many years of aggressive treatments to include chemotherapy for the cancer. I am greatly appreciative of the quality and professional care I received from the physicians at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. I have been in remission for several years now with no limitations.
At the age of 11, I was involved in a horrific train accident with my family. I witnessed the tragic deaths of my mother (Mary Pace) and brother (Robert Pace) . As a child, this was a very traumatic experience for me to lose my loved ones. My mother was a single parent of three children, but MY rock. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. My grandmother (Lizzie Hines) and great-grandparents (Spencer and Pearlie Mae Forman) interceded in caring for myself and surviving sister (Simeka). It was such a blessing to listen and learn from those born in the early 1900's as they shared their life experiences. Now that I am older, I realize that I am standing on the shoulders of others who prayed relentlessly for me.
Another struggle was becoming a young mother which created a whole new set of obstacles. It was a great challenge to raise my son as a single parent. However, I was committed to the task in spite of judgment and negative predictions by others on my life. My son was the driving force in my goal to be a good parent and create a solid foundation for him. I offer to the youth to stand their ground on their beliefs and commit to being morally sound. Do not submit to pressure and sweet nothings. "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything" - Alexander Hamilton.
I have had my share of adversities, stumbling blocks, insecurities, self-worth issues and relationship woes; therefore making some unwise decisions. However, I embrace each situation regardless to the outcome as a teachable moment. There is always a lesson to be learned in each experience. Those experiences have shaped who I am today. I can discern that I am "Perfect 4 The Purpose"! As I matured, I came to understand to be in alignment I had to return to my roots. My foundation is a Christian one as I spent many days during the week involved in church activities as a child per the instructions of my grandparents. I credit my tenacity to my grandmother who was a great example of a resilient woman. I accepted the task of caring for my elderly grandmother when her health failed. Although complex, it was a blessing to provide the best care for her. She was a strong-willed, unwavering woman of God. I only hope to become half the woman she was which will be my greatest accomplishment.
Although life has presented one crisis after another, it is through faith and courage that I persevered. I am also indebted to my "village" that consists of family, church members, neighbors, co-workers, friends and their families that stood in the gap. I was eliminated by most a long time ago because of some of my challenges. I often reflect on God's grace and mercy acknowledging that "If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be? " - (Helen Baylor). I am truly grateful for God's unwavering love and hedge of protection. I am blessed beyond measure!
I have been afforded the opportunity for personal growth, to obtain a quality education and embark upon a rewarding career. I am the proud mother of three boys which includes a set of twins (Broxlin, Christopher Jr. and Colby) a beautiful god daughter (Ryiane) and a supportive husband (Christopher Sr.) who have been instrumental in my journey. I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Southern University graduating Cum Laude. My professional career has consisted of employment with TARGET (Assets Protection Manager), Louisiana State Police (Dispatch-Troop A and Criminal Records Division), Louisiana Juvenile Probation and Parole (Officer), Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (Counselor), United States Customs and Border Protection (Officer) and United States Office of Personnel Management / National Background Investigations Bureau (Special Agent), formerly Federal Investigative Services. I am actively involved at my church and enjoy serving in several of the ministries. I am thankful for the opportunity to fellowship with my church family and receive quality leadership by my pastor (Pas).
It is my prayer that I can help someone by sharing my personal experiences. I have been misjudged over the years simply because the other person did not know my story. "Just because someone else doesn't know my worth doesn't mean that my value as changed. Life will always have its challenges and it's all a part of the plan for my unique design. I recognize that God has "Purpose Me Perfect"! I also want to empower our youth to embrace the same mindset and live a life of purpose.
My transparency was not easy but necessary to possibly touch the lives of our youth. I am reminded of a song by Mahalia Jackson, "If I can help someone along the way then my living is not in vain". I am passionate about investing in the next generation and strive to be proactive in my approach. To be the support system and solid foundation for those in need. We hope that you will partner with us in making a difference in the lives of our children and young adults. Thank you for your interest in our organization.
